I can’t breathe What do you do when you can’t breathe? You can’t find space. There is no air to be had People say to calm down How can I calm down Pulse is rapidly beating Blood pressure steadily increasing Natural Adrenaline is off the charts Grabbing my chest feeling my heart I C..A..N..T.. Breath There is no space for any air No space to ire Walls steadily surround. The body hitting the ground “Stay calm help is on the way.” Help! Help! I just wanted to breathe.
Panic attacks really are no joke. It is funny how everyone just tries to tell you calm down. Like obviously, if I could calm down we wouldn't be in this situation. It really takes over thoughts too when you're in the middle of one. It's like you realize you can't breathe and that's all you can think about, very relatable.
Sometimes the key to survival is not getting overly excited about the situation so you can think your way through it. Cave explorers go through tight spots by staying calm and focused or they would get stuck and die deep under the earth. Emotions can cloud and override our logic and swell small challenges into impossible tasks. Some people have to take medication to better control their emotions simply so they can function. PTSD is an after shock of pent up emotion. I've known more than a few sufferers. Panic attacks may require meds to control or may be a symptom of a greater underlying condition. They do stress your heart and stress is a killer. I can't recommend anything stronger than chamomile tea but take good care of you. F.
