Chapter OneA Chapter by VeronicaEmma denies liking Jake. Could things get messy? Is her idea psychotic? Will I ever stop putting my sentences in question form? We'll see.“Aha! It finally came!” A young blonde woman squealed, ramming through the doors to what might have been the dorm room of her and her friends.
“What are you so pepped up about, Leslie?” another present girl named
The blonde gave a heavy sigh. “Oh, Sherry, please! This is the newest issue of Teen Vogue!” she retorted, waving the magazine in front of the poor brunette’s face.
With that, Leslie plopped down on a chair and became suddenly mute, absorbed into a world filled with nail polish, the latest fashion, and tons of other nonsense that only Leslie could live up to.
A usual calm and serene person such as Katy, you’d think she’d stay calm for all times sake. But, not after getting a call from a paticular River Creek boy.
“Hey you guys.” Katy said the slightest giggle motion in her voice.
Katy paused, and ignored the awkward silence that filled the air. “I got a call from Joseph; the River Creek guys are coming over.”
Well, that sure did get a certain blonde girl’s attention “Oh, no! I’ve got to go get ready!” she yelped for the second time that morning, scattering off to the bathroom.
Two out six of our girls, Angie and Layla came stumbling in “What’s all the commotion about?” Layla asked.
“Leslie.” Sheridan and Katy said, their voices dripping with sarcasm.
“So, why are they coming over again?” Angie asked running her fingers through her short, messy black hair.
“Celebration.” Katy replied. “They had just come back from a mission, one of their hardest yet, and they still remain undefeated.” She explained. The rest of the club let out a chorus of ‘oh’s.
“Sorry, I slept in.” a young girl yawned, stepping into the room that held her friends.
“Im ready!” Leslie chorused from inside of the bathroom. “And you’re right on time.” Layla mumbled to the sleepy girl, Emma.
“Well, seeing you’re the only one who needed to get ready, I guess we’ll go wait outside.”
Leslie walked out of the bathroom and headed towards the door, with her peers following close behind.
“I’m so happy.” Bloom exclaimed. “Why?” Angie asked, looking around, searching for what could be so cheerful about everyday, boring old
“Brock and I are now official! And so are Leslie and Tony, and you and Timmy, and Katy and Joseph!” She said, twirling around like a 5-year-old. Angie smiled. “Yeah, me too.”
Poor Emma and Layla, all alone. Maybe Leslie could go find them boyfriends?
“Hey Emma.” Leslie said sitting down beside the musical princess.
“What?” The raven haired girl remarked, not in the mood for one for her teasing sessions.
“Why don’t you just tell Jake you like him?” She suggested.
“I don’t want to, do you know why? Because I don’t like him.” Emma retorted rudely.
“Yes you do.” Leslie argued. “Just give in.”
“I don’t like him!” She yelled.
“Oh yeah, you love him.” Layla teased like a 7-year-old. Emma shot her a death glare.
Just then, the River Creek boys came up. “Hey.” Brock said casually, obviously not seeing the problem that he should’ve stayed out of.
“Oh, come on. Give in, you like him!” Stella said with a triumphant grin, not seeing the River Creek guys standing right in front of them.
Emma didn’t see them either; she was too engrossed within the fight. “I…DO…NOT!” She screamed. “And ill prove it!”
“How are you going to prove it?” Layla asked.
“ “Ill write a book, and call it ‘101 Ways to Kill Jake.’” She said. ‘That’s such a stupid idea.’ She thought.
"That's such a stupid idea!" Layla, without knowing it, agreed with Emma's thoughts.
“But, what will that prove?”
“It will prove that I don’t like him! If I want to kill him, I don’t like him.” She responded.
The poor River Creek boys, having no idea what was aroused with their girls, coughed repeatedly until Angie and Katy, the only two not talking, noticed them.
“Oh, please, it won’t prove a thing, Emma.” Leslie said in her usual tone.
Emma (being the aggressive one of the gang) threw a fist at her, but the blonde female caught it, she threw the other one, but Leslie caught that one, too.
Emma pretty much dove on the poor sunny girl, shoving her to the ground.
Luckily (or unluckily, depending on how you look at it) Jake came up and grabbed the immature-acting girl by the waist.
Emma squirmed out of his arms and glared at him, she stormed back over to Layla and Leslie.
“Number one.” She hissed. “If Jake ever touches me again, strangle him.”
