Perfectly AmazingA Poem by Poetic TuesdayDon't ever forget what you are to me, love.
You're nothing short of perfectly amazing.
Eyes like windows to your soul, a tragic story Waiting for someone to come along and erase the hurt And re-write laughter and happiness in its place. Let me be the hero; your protagonist. A smile so sweet and beautiful, despite the lies Because it's only a mask so the world can't see who you are But don't you think a pain-free smile would be so much better? I want to make you smile something real. A voice more melodic than any old love song Reciting the same lines all the time, but I know you mean it Then you tell me you're fine when I know you're not. But I must admit, it always sounds so gorgeous. A heart that beats to the song in your head and bleeds ink To write the words of our story along your veins I know you don't always feel perfect, honey. The little flaws make you so perfect to me. I know it's hard, and sometimes you want to give up All I ask is that you don't, it's only a countdown of days Until we can be together, unbreakable, happy. And I can finally make you feel beautiful. © 2011 Poetic TuesdayAuthor's Note
