Without WingsA Poem by Ferg
tiny bird with broken wings
flightless on the ground it sings a haunting yet melodious song as finer birds circle and throng listening to its plaintive cries cawing over its mournful sighs lacking compassion they stare and jeer questioning its worth, thinking it queer and the tiny bird continues to sing undaunted by lonely's painful sting waiting with patience and hope to spare for loving arms to embrace her there lifting her off the barren ground with tenderness and love, to fly unbound © 2011 Ferg |
