Empty throne

Empty throne

A Poem by Feniks

The whispers in the background
The wind howling all around
In my lonely castle heart
Where everything is falling apart
The violins playing in my head
Playing already as if I'm dead
Cold strikes my fragile skin
And lets the emptiness right in
As I sit here on my throne
Nothing more than flesh and bone

This was more haunting than it looked! "Nothing more than flesh and bone" was the perfect end

About
Hi, I started at Writers Cafe because I wanted feedback on my poetry. Writing is my sanctuary, it's the only way I can deal with my emotions. I've been writing for a few years now, but I don't know wh.. more..
