A Blind Man's DreamA Poem by FeatherOwl I I hold you in my arms Hoping this miracle will endure, In the distance The ocean blushes The sun kissing its shore. This moment is so fragile I am almost afraid, I could lose you in a breath In my heart's serenade. Give me a moment to share Beyond prayers and memory; Lend that hand, lay that whisper, Let me know you hear. But this emptiness is real, Sheltered in a reminiscence, Searching in cavernous darkness For its lost happiness. I am losing this moment, That I thought was forever, The dreams once eternal, now elusive My soul in a shiver. The angels prepare the heavens, To write our history in the stars, The moon their overseer, As they etch away our scars. The cold waves are unfolding, Kissing my feet, dissolving my ground, Beckoning me close, With their alluring sound. If I stayed, could I dare hope For a miracle of love? If I let go, would you know I still love you so? II These broken wings of love Aimlessly wandering On this path between The dead and the living. I haunt these shores As they once haunted me, My life now forever But still searching for thee. You remain eclipsed, A shadow of my dream, I still hear your laughter Cadence with the stream. It is a cruel reality Or perhaps there is none, You are just my imagination That cannot be undone. The echoes of a bleeding heart, Unheard and unseen. Until transitions still beyond You will remain... A blind man's dream.
