Shameful...PlayfulA Poem by FeatherOwlThings that could have been....I have tasted a lost emotion, Its flavour lingering on my tongue, Like a feather that softly tickles, And caresses over, seeking more.
It was a strange space to dwell in, I am happy I wasn't lost, But I wonder what it would have been, Had I seen it to the end.
Sometimes it's shameful to explore, Moments in bright daylight, Lest you see in detail, Things you never saw before.
Such thoughts are best left for the night, When the mind is drunk in darkness, And wistfully grazes over past, Ideas that shouldn't have been.
Sleep on them and dream softly, Perhaps the moments may revisit, And you may live them again. Then awaken happy and rested For life is richer for it. © 2013 FeatherOwlAuthor's Note
