I lost her

This was written for a loved one that I consider my daughter.

You were like my daughter.....one I chose to love and promised to look after.

In my fight within myself I hurt you which has become a well known rendition......one that I hope forgiveness someday will come in full fruition. 

I have watched your own heartache from ones that loved you preceding.....I never thought I would be one that would cause you more through my actions of receding.

I sat proud of your journeys and your fearless nature.....through all you have been through you make things into a beautiful portraiture.

Whether you forgive me today, or never again.... I will always be proud of the woman you became and all achievements you attain.

You will hold a special place next to my heart that I  gave your momma..... always remember to keep your head held high because no one could be any more deserving of her future enlightening karma.
