Beauty Is UglyA Poem by nicolas taylor carlinThis is a poem about how society paints a picture that women have to complete,to get the title of beautiful which causes pain to many kids and adults alike. The sunsets on the hills And my life is so very still Not moving at all frozen beneath the wall Of beauty I am ugly not beautiful at all They always tell me as I walk The halls they scream my name With "w***e" after it Not knowing the pain They cause me everyday I go home and cry away Putting makeup on to erase the pain I scream and shout punching the walls Not knowing what's wrong with me at all I am ugly, I am ugly I am always ugly Never beautiful never lucky Enough to be as beautiful As the girls on the TV Magazines or anything in between I am ugly and worthless They always tell me Never meant to live but to die on my knees To society © 2015 nicolas taylor carlin |
