Destined for the Sky

I’ve built these walls up
Peeking out into the world my whole life
Shielding a piece of my vision
Been living in a coffin of shadows
But I’ve grown now
I’ve grown too big for these restrictions
Trailing on my whole life
Never being able to see what’s outside

I’ve got nothing to hide, though
Free of these chains
And from protecting myself
From the rest of reality
But now I’m drawing the light
At the end of every tunnel
And peeking out to see
That all I’ve needed is just

A sky being seen so clearly

I’ve struggled
To keep my feet on the ground
But I’m destined for the clouds
Above my head
Waiting for me
And needing me to realize
But now I have gained my sight and I see
The sky enveloping the world around me

Beautiful :) I was always scared for most of my life but I've reached the point where I am not afraid to fly and I am not afraid to fall. The first step is getting past yourself. The second step is getting past others. If you can do that you will succeed :)
