Why did you have to leave Why was it you, so young and naive Why do the thugs still live While you’re gone forever I still don’t get it Although it’s been seven
I would just like to say that I really, really, love this. There is much emotion in this, and repetition of 7 years is a rally great effect. I really like the idea of age and time not making a difference in such strong emotions, or your own knowledge of them. The ending stanza stating "Why do the thugs still live/ Whilre you're gone forever" really leave a cliff hanger at the end of the poem and paint a better picture in the reader's head. You're asking big questions, and looking at the bigger picture which a lot of people are afraid to do. That's a great quality in a young writer.
