Not Good EnoughA Poem by FernandaI did my best.
I tried the hardest. And still, it wasn’t good enough. I did everything you asked me to. I went to the end of the world to please you And still, it wasn’t good enough. My grades are high I don’t drink I don’t smoke The money I spend is on books And still, I’m not good enough for you. You tell me you love me Than yell straight to my face You tell me you love me Then why can’t you show it? I’ve been doing my best Trying the hardest I can The results look great I should be happy But how can I smile When I’m not good enough? © 2012 FernandaFeatured Review
