Bullet in the Chamber

Bullet in the Chamber

A Poem by Wayward Soul

There's a bullet in the chamber,
A man looks to the sky,
He searched for love at the bottom of a bottle,
But only glass he would find,
He tried to live an honest life,
But his problems overwhelmed him,
And now here he stands,
Revolver in his hands,
There's a bullet in the chamber,
Him no one will morn,
As tears flow down his ragged face,
He says his last good buys,
There's no bullet in the chamber,
As his corpse drops to the floor,
His life wasted,
Now here he lies,
With blood soaked hands,
And clouded eyes,
He gave into all the lies,
And left this world behind.

I don't condone suicide, its horrible, the fact is that everyone has someone who loves them, so think about that.

Yes - tragic. Very somber and dark. Sad that no one will care. You write very well - just not a pleasant subject to think about. Kinda sick & twisted.

I don't condone suicide either, but the poem was a tragic beauty. Thanks for sharing.
