Not alone

Not alone

A Poem by Wayward Soul
"

My friend called me today, and I learned that his 8 year old sister had died of breast cancer so I scribbled this up to houner her struggle and to encourage any of you who have lost to it as well.

"
The full moon shown down
Upon newly placed soil
The white marble slab
Shown clear in the light
The family still mourn
The deceased lost the war
With the plague that had now claimed her life

Like a thief in the night death had come
And had left with her innocent soul
Her heart had ceased to beat
The monitor beeped, then turned to a long mournful tone

To ye who has lost a loved one to cancer
Remember that your not alone
there soul now prances in fields above
And are enfolded in his arms of love

I really care about reviews on this one, it is a passage very close to me and my friend, so just say some supportive things and I'll tell him, thank you for reading.

This is really beautiful - through the pain of loss you weave the healing of God's love and protection - leaving the reader to rejoice at the thought of a better life beyond :)
