Changing.

Changing.

A Poem by Fay Slimm

Changing.

And the day  dawned

when he doffed his thick overcoat

and set off to meet her alluring invite.

Changing however

her mind-set she fell to preparing

surprises to scare ultra-elusive guys.

She nailed up smiles

and blocked entrance usage to what

was duly considered as time wasters.

If often opened, doors

left ajar can suddenly swing inward

and if feeling unhinged close up again.

He knocked and naked

with confusion at finding love locked

by guilty regret, quickly he crept away.

Your poem paints this lady as being topsy-turvy freaked out & possibly afraid of meeting face-to-face, which happens more often than some may think. I've been online friends for years with people who live within an hour's drive -- but if challenged to meet face-to-face, a bunch of demons arise to prevent it. I like your imagery of him wearing an overcoat but ready to be naked, but eventually he creeps away. That's exactly how it can feel when running up against another person who can't overcome the fear of meeting in person, or other types of "reveals" in various relationships (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Beautiful but oh' so very sad ... unfortunately there are far too many cads around and maybe always have been ........ some folk'll stop at nowt just to get a bit o what they fancy ........... me.. well I just got a thing about alluring invites ....

On second thoughts though, those bloomin doors when left purposefully ajar do have a habit of swinging back and slamming shut

... Some of us guys just never learn .. do we :)

There is absolutely nothing about this page that I dont like.. and I mean like a lot... I hope you get as many reviews as you writefully deserve Fay
