Shall We ?

Shall We ?

A Poem by Fay Slimm

SHALL WE ?.

We lived through a blaze of debate-soaked relationship
mindless of Hearing's real worth.

We blithely argued ideas as winner-related bias created
pretentiously led Self-talk.

We fell into shut-eye's mess of raking up any dissension
and blindly besting with words.

We rankled ourselves toward barren ground and Regret
denied, Ego raised storm-force.

Tho' love's ultimate non-sound got somehow mislaid lost
sight relates to quiet heard.

Shall we reconstruct silence and give Us a reminder that
minds can speak without a word ?
