Yea's Glow.

Yea's Glow.

A Poem by Fay Slimm
"

Scribed at midnight - -cos I couldn't sleep..................

"

Yea's Glow.

The advent of love warms frozen surrender
in all stony hearts.
Its melt-down uncovers edges of icy
unreadiness and
transforms chill into cosy preparedness
for moments of yield.

Desire's benign freedom fans flame to high
as once blaze takes hold
bliss will not again allow frosty defeat
to choke hot amour
for when taut sighs change need mutually smiles.

Experience the feel
of love's fated kiss and give passion your heed,
liquify snow for
Yea's glow needs nothing more than tender-slow
stoking as lighted
vibes know sparks help passion acquire release
then frigid kindled
lips will nibble submission with fever's fire.

Magnify time spent

in arousal and witness pleasure ignite.

Interesting use of kindling imagery as a metaphor for love and passion here. I liked the image of the slow stoking of coals to trigger combustion. For those of us of a certain age, though, the stoking takes longer and longer. Oh, well, as long as you do get a fire, that's all that matters.

Think there might have been a slow steady simmer happening when your midnight wouldn't sleep! Tis special, smiley, enticing and what's more, is a finely written poem, Fay. Love the way it sweeps thoughts along in its wake and warms them inside out. Cleverly put. Delightfully warm.
