New Appetite.

New Appetite.

A Poem by Fay Slimm

New Appetite.

A lust full of Karma passed and eagerness lessened.

The honied moon of strong passion a weaker light shed.

Love turned to canvas of lies until, cage ajar, this bird fled.

Rules burnt, desire's new appetite birthed no false pretense.

Lit again female eyes felt hunger that quenched past neglect.

Prized then the nectar fired by another with not a sign of regret

A love that seemed so perfect, yet is murdered by lies and deceit. It was time to wake up and realize and make the choice to move on. Once freed and disconnected leaves room to find love again. Sounds like my second marriage. This is so beautifully written. Love it.
