New life creates times for mothering care.

      

Overtakes other calls this parental duty.

Baby-cry helplessness demonstrates proof.

 

Releases intention to free after rearing.  

Linked by blood-ties yet partings foreseen.

 

Needs special attention an infant delivery. 

From smallest beginnings is mission fulfilled.

 

         Adherents on love's best procedure agree.            

 Mother and offspring connection is peerless.

"mums are like buttons, they hold everything together" I really love this quote, and yes it's true, they are not only home, but what makes a home "home" holding and bonding everything and everyone together, warming and strengthen the relationships, well not my mother lol. a sweet tribute for new mums and all mums, it just flows in their bloods even since they were little girls, and when they give birth... they just turn it into reality and there is no way back... their motherhood rooted even deeper as their children grow up. I love this simply because it represents that all Mothers are wonderful. It's taken for granted that not all are. Some are completely wonderful, sacrificing their own dreams for their children's. Some are half-way Moms, dividing their time among their children and still having their cake. And some aren't mothers at all, in the sense of love and care. They're the ones who give birth, hand them off and go have their cake and eat it too. My mom was a half-way mom. But my brothers and I were lucky. Where she was lacking, our Dad more than made up for it. He was the greatest Dad God could have given us. Through him, we all loved our Mom too. Great Poem, Fay. I love the 'button' theory and like to think that I fit that.
