Man up.

Man up.

A Poem by FavouriteKitten
"

Feeling frustrated with this victim epidemic. How are these boys meant to grow into men with their mothers massaging every bump for them. BARF.

"
I won't coddle you.
I'm more of a tough love kind of person.
I'll show you the way but I won't
walk it for you.
I may not even hold your hand,
unless you're a furry little animal.
Then I melt.

This piece is very telling - it's intriguing. It makes sense, too. In this day and age, it's very common for men to be considered "mama's boys" because of how they're raised in almost a safety net of misconceptions. I, for one, completely agree that when raising a child, be they male or female, sometimes you need to be hands off because then how will they ever learn to be self sufficient, self reliant and productive members of society? Of course, those involved don't necessarily need to be children. Sometimes they're fully grown men who wish to do nothing for themselves. But, overall, it's a great piece.
