I still remember

I still remember

A Poem by Charisma
"

Retrospect....

"
I still remember....
The first day,twas my birthday,
You cheered with me,
I smiled at you, trying to hide my blush,
I didn't know we would have our history,

I still remember....
The other day, twas Valentine's day,
I designed a card for you,
You gave me a lovely pink diary,
I didn't know it would contain our memories,

I still remember...
That faithful day, twas a school day
I wanted to hang out,
And we exchanged our first bouquets,
I didn't know it would trigger so much regrets,

I still remember....
That timely Thursday, twas a grey day,
I couldn't continue and I told you,
You were so hurt I could feel it,
I didn't know it would cost me everything,

Now I try to forget it all,
But it's imprinted in mind,
It's my Muse for each day,
I can't remember to forget....

This is very clear & full of longing & showing us the progression of a friendship/relationship in relatable terms. I like how each stanza addresses a different aspect of the journey. Your repetition of "I still remember" is well done to add emphasis to the feelings of failure at the end of something special. I especially like the ending, where "remembering" turns into "forgetting" -- altho it can't be done. Good word crafting to take your reader along on this love/heartbreak journey.
