Experiences

Experiences

A Poem by Dylan Evans

The endless sea of corrupt faces

The demented machines which take them to places

What is it all for?

The conflicts and confusion

Chaos in seclusion

All just a mere delusion of free and right

One way

One clear way people can go

To become one of them

One of the corrupt

Blend in

Do what you're told

live”

Then die

All experiences which are available they shun

We can just see and “experience” them from the comfort of home

Your TV

Your computer

Showing you what's out there

Without having to go out there

We just accept it

Maybe not like that fact

But we accept it

I fear for the future

Now less and less people seek the world

Their world is being confined

Their world is being constricted

Nothing you can do

Just try and start a coo

It'll fail

And then what can you do?

Many of us have started spending more time on our computers instead of coming face to face with the world. This is convenient at times but we have also cut ourselves off from the warmth of face to face human contact. Well done Poet.

Interesting perspective on modern conveniences, or should they be called hindrances? :)
