The Madness of MelancholyA Poem by Dylan EvansFirst poem I'm uploading, so I don't know what you'll make of it but any feedback is welcome
Mad but sad my darling said to me mad but sad I forever hope to be
Everyday the same, boring and blue The same bizarre beauties will just have to do.
What if a meteor plummeted to the hard earth? Would you scream? Laugh? Run?
It would break the cycle of monotony Freeing you, freeing me from melancholy
Free us from the common sites of deceit, death, darkness and devastation We are too used to these sites. Every day, every night the same corruption
A break from it all. A chance to get away A way to move forward
What if a meteor crashed down to the ground? Would things be mad? Would things still be sad? © 2012 Dylan EvansReviews
