Desperation

Desperation

A Poem by FatesDeath

As the sky darkens and the night begins,
the wind picks up and settles down again.
I keep on marching, marching toward the path.
The path that will eventually lead me to my foreboding death.
Still I go, facing the wind, crying on my journey.
My journey to the end.
The path gets narrow, the stars don't shine,
the moon is hidden behind storm clouds,
blocking it's iridescent shine.
The woods are quiet, not one single sound.
I get to the cliffs edge and look down,
watching the waves crash and roll around.
No one's here to save or persuade me.
I think I'll let death have me now.
So I jump into the endless abyss and
smile as I drown.

When we find death. The journey is over. I felt the struggle leading to the sad ending. I liked the journey described in the words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
