Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively impose domination over others. The behaviour is often repeated and habitual. Behaviours used to assert such domination can include verbal harassement or threat, physical assault coercion, and such acts may be directed repeatedly towards particular targets. Justifications and rationlizations for such behaviour sometimes include differences of class, race, religion,gender,sexuality,appearances,behaviour, body language,personality, reputation,lineage,strength,size or ability. If bullying is done by a group of people its called "mobbing". Targets of bullying are also sometimes referred to as "victims" of bullying. Bullying consists of four basic types of abuse-emotional,verbal,physical and cyber. Cyber bullying is any bullying done through the use of technology. This type of bullying can easily go undetected beacuse of lack of parental/authortive supervision. Bullies can pose as someone else, it is the mose anonymous form of bullying. Cyber bullying includes abuse using email, instant messaging, websites, social networking etc... School bullying is a type of bullying that occurs in an educational setting. School bullying may be more specificaly defined as an unwelcome behaviour among school aged children that involves real or perceived power imbalance. In order to be considered bullying, the behaviour must be repeated and aggressive, and must include:
>A difference in power, kids who bully use their physical strength or popularity to control or harm others.
>Repetition,happening more than once or have the potential to happen more than once.
The long term effects of school bullying are numerous, and can include senstivity, anxiety and depression. Recent stastics suggest that the majority of students will experience bullyingat some point is their academic careers. Bullying is a common accurence in most schools. Bullying can happen to anyone, regardless of the grade level, gender, religion or sexual orientation.The following is a list of statistics that illustrate the severity of bullying within classrooms:
.20�"40% of bullying victims actually report being bullied
.70% of secondary school students experience bullying in school
.7�"12% of bullies are habitual and pose a serious threat
.23% of 9th graders have carried a weapon to school recently
.5�"15% of students are constantly bullied
.27% of students are bullied because of their refusal to engage in common sexual practices
.25% of students encourage bullying if not given proper education and support in anti-bullying techniques
.At least 1 in 3 adolescent students in Canada have reported being bullied recently
.47% of Canadian parents report having a child victim of bullying 
.The rate of discrimination experienced among students who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans-identified, .Two-Spirited, Queer or Questioning (LGBTQ) is three times higher than heterosexual youth
.The most common form of cyber-bullying involved receiving threatening or aggressive e-mails or instant messages, reported by 73% of victims.

I think this article is very important to those who suffer bullying. If you are getting bullied talk to your parents or go to an adult. Bullying is not acceptable and it is a problem these days.
