WHERE ANGEL'S PLAY

WHERE ANGEL'S PLAY

A Poem by Fast Eddie
"

I wrote this for my little sister who lost her life to breast cancer at age 32..

"

                                   WHERE ANGEL'S PLAY

I GOT THE MESSAGE THIS MORNING

                  SAYING THAT YOU WENT AWAY-

THE BRIGHT LIGHT TOUCHED DOWN ON YOU

TO TAKE YOU UP WHERE THE ANGEL'S PLAY-

NOW MY MIND STARTS TO WONDER

                  ABOUT ALL THOSE ETERNAL THINGS-

ARE YOU CLIMBING CLOUDS WITH OUR DAD NOW

OOH AND DO YOU BOTH HAVE WINGS...

                              UP WHERE THE ANGEL'S PLAY,

OOH LITTLE SISTER YOU'LL BE OKAY-

                              UP WHERE THE ANGEL'S PLAY-,

I'LL ALWAYS THINK OF YOU THAT WAY-

                              OOH LITTLE SISTER

                                   UP WHERE THE ANGEL'S PLAY..

I WAS SITTING IN THE SILENCE

                 OF MY OWN MORTALLITY-

WHEN I SAW YOUR REFLECTION

                 IN A CHILDHOOD MEMORY-

NOW MY MIND STARTS TO WONDER

                 ABOUT ALL THOSE HEAVENLY WAYS-

AND I KNOW YOUR TIME

                 IS SPENT DIFFERENT NOW

                                   UP WHERE THE ANGEL'S PLAY...
