Illusion Of Sight

Face may be smiling,

though, who knows what's it hiding

Severe pain, heart so broken,

when it smiles with lips wide open

Heart might be denying,

but to yearn for thy love, it might be dying

Feelings so deep inside it locks,

'bout their love when ye mock

Eyes may have cried a lot,

when they look so pretty, who knows what they've fought

Burning feelings inside when they are lit,

tears of happiness, they call it

Friends, when they help you,

who knows, they are hurt too

Hide their pain to rescue thee,

True friendship thou shall see

Illusion of sights,

blind to see what's right

Look deep in the soul,

then thee shall know, there is a hole

Aren't we all so lucky that all we see are some expressions and words coming from others
Within this illusion and shield away from the truth of others we are very much secured
Can you imagine how horrible it would be if we really saw everyone for who they are or what they thought ?
Some might give us such pleasure with their great hearts
Others would hurt us with their sick hearts
The illusion of sight is wise and protective
I like this poem ..... Makes you think ..... always a good thing

I love this poem and it brought flash backs to me of past relationships. And it goes to the thought of a clowns face and we are all putting on our face to the world while our true self is held in check. Great work dreamer.
