A song about love gone bad? Has one like that ever been written before? (I'm just kidding) If it wasn't for love going bad a lot of classic songs may never have been written. This has a bit of a twist because both lovers have walked away at various times...a red flag for a relationship, I'm sure. Very nice song, I'd love to hear it with music and singing. take care...dan

This very beautiful and captures what happens when, two that were one, again find themselves as one. And it's a confusing vulnerable time, which I have not felt for an incredibly long time, but it's a feeling you never forget. It's like someone has ripped your heart out and stomped on it, on the floor. And there is just nothing, no nothing but time can heal, if it heals at all, for the lucky ones it does or at least they find a graceful way to live with it. Sometimes we want the one who professes to love us to follow when we walk away and that works if Love is strong but walk too far after someone and you become the harraser. Then when we stop the following - all of a sudden we 'walked away too'. Thats my take on it.
This reminded me very much of a Holland-Dozier-Holland kind of song
I could hear some of it being spoken-word leading into the song like in the style of Judy Boucher's 'I can't be with you tonight.'
