Cold, Dark Winter

Cold, Dark Winter

A Poem by Spencer Valentine

You never say sorry,

Or apologize,

You say you like me,

But I see otherwise,

You don't care at all

About how I feel,

My moods turn around

Like a never ending wheel,

I start off happy,

In love with you,

That feeling disappears

WIth nothing for me to do,

You set me to anger,

I want to kill,

The feeling stays,

Lingering still,

Even when sadness

Comes into play,

I remain furious

Throughout the whole day,

Because one small thing

Is all it takes

For me to lose control

While my heart breaks,

I cack, I burn,

I snap and splinter,

There is no escaping

This cold, dark winter,

I am alone

I now realize,

Though I can only see it

When I'm looking in your eyes.
