Gethsemane Unchained

Gethsemane Unchained

A Poem by Farrell MacLachlin

Catch the morning mist
Above a gentle stillborn breath
These saving grace reminders
Of an everlasting death
Cathartic prayers unanswered
The teardrops of dissent
Reclaimed in supplication
Bleeding mutually content
In fields of benevolence
Where absolution reigned
We could sleep forever
In Gethsemane unchained
