green

green

A Poem by FarisGreybear

GREEN, 10/1/2014, Farris Graybaer

           sovereign, free, color green

aware, stare, life is there
content, at peace, serene
inhale, exhale, pure fresh air

chaos, purple, lost in disorder
finite land, infinite ocean, vast
everywhere imaginary borders
above, the sun upon all is cast

just me, so free, living green
not yet ripe, but not satisfied
new growth, renewed in between
close eyes, open eyes, pride

dignity, now I see the real me
no disconnect, don't disrespect
no chicken yellow, no blue misery
now orange and red, check, check

sovereign, free, ever green
prayer lair, down there
walls of moss, seldom seen
inhale, exhale, love in the air
