much Hogeeheegee fog from the Belle Riviere, know fear
so creep slowly 'round the Baptist church house
more kinnick-konnick to pick, but it won't be quick
then from those box-elders, it appeared, the strange deer

tan fur kissed by the ohio mist, shredded green shirt dances
closer it approaches, so I conversate with a rasp and a gasp
never seen a Jamaican buck with green dreadlocks before
poor four-legged tries shakin' it off, with jumps and prances

cross the twenty three, out of the forest, for phillip morris
urban modern ecosystem of hooves and venison lovers
store purchase made, back to the shade, still bewildered
at my mound, my rasta is refound, I gasp another chorus

the stag staggers into the red oak grove, into the low cloud
the garden is now tilled with fresh twinned prints aplenty
melons ripening, collards ever spreading, winds shower the acorns
everytime, the sun does rise, and deer and I, we stand proud
