gilboa tower

A Poem by FarisGreybear

Gilboa Tower,
by Farris Greybear,
dedicated to Chas Farris,
Kentucky, U.S.A. 4/14/14

1. muldraugh ridge stretches for miles, remembering smiles
2. specimen of perfect health, beloved by popular peers

3. after running the four bases, yet more tragedy piles
4. and more fields of stone flooded with our running tears

5. boards missing, view obscured by foliage, the bust of rust
6. not long from sullivan's prong, west of the fiddler's fields

7. lost in the hardwood stand, God hears, prayer's a must
8. atop the platform, we saw the heavens, and more heart heals
