1. Lightenin' Ellsworth used to tap the lines

2. Warehouses once full of bourbon and wines
3. Stream of steam trailing across the knobs
4. Below the rocky roost, where the Buzzard dines

5. Morgan's Colesburg bonfire, burnt and bowtied rail
6. No more traffic across Rolling thru Tunnel Hill
7. Shadowed by six lanes of eye sixty five diesel
8. Flood after flood long washed away blood spilled

9. Then corn was born and sold into liquid gold
10. Mash turned into cash and spring water cold
11. But barrels broken, now acres of thorn not corn
12. No hope for New Hope, if the truth be told

13. Yet still that blue train crests Coon Hollow
14. Headed to Ham Days, Loretto to follow
15. Sailin' crew on One Fifty Two through Dant
16. Footloose and fancy free, dog with no collar

17. There beside the church house, little Chicago
18. Cross high upon the hill, below cat-tails grow
19. All wrapped up in the L & N, the old wooden motel
20. This is my stop, so down Buttermilk Pike I go
