If you be the art,
They'll shut their eyes.
Give them your heart,
they'll break it twice.

Show them the rainbow
they'll go colour blind.
Lead them to the stars,
they'll be the laggard left behind.

I especially love V1 becuz it is a creative & relatable way to describe how some people do not see us & do nothing to sustain our hearts. Your poem sounds accepting of how this disappointment goes, not so much complaining about unfairness or heartbreak, but it feels like the narrator is warning someone else to be realistic & see how someone who is not right should be let go (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
