You promised

You promised

A Poem by Farhan Shaikh
"

Just imagine a person who knows all the truths about some crimes or injustice, and he hides it and getting away from that.

"
Turned your back to the truth
Banged your head to the wall
Held yourself from getting down
Cause you promised not to fall..

Closed your eyes even in the dark
Rolled yourself to fit in the box
You care what would it be
But you promised not to talk

Finding yourself through the glass
Trying hard to stop the clock
But the sand in your hand just gonna slip
and you promised not to fall.

This is very different from what you write usually. It shows one's strength and promise to self that they must survive life's struggle.
Very good reminder to the readers to have hope.
I liked it.

I'm glad you liked it
It's the instability in others, than can make heros of us all in the end, well done, good read.
