We'll never get free

We'll never get free

A Poem by Farhan Shaikh
"

Song based on the crimes increasing in India...when the 7 year old gets raped by politician and yet justice remains

"
Lookin in my eyes..
Tell me it's all fine..
All the people are happy
And innocence didn't die..
Silence is vanished
And the violence we've gone through
Feelings are perished
Chaos to rendezvous

We'll never get free
From this agony of slaughter
What should we do
When there's toxins in water
The price to be paid has always been harder
Will we ever get through?
From this agony of slaughter..

Look me in my eyes
Say, that clouds are not dark
The gust of wind stopping
Crowded rides in the park.
Not that seesaw is swinging
Empty in the grass
Not the children are hidden
In their mother's arms..

We'll never get free
From this agony of slaughter
What should we do
When there's blood in the water
The price of the freedom is always been higher.
Will we ever get through
From this agony of slaughter..

A world on fire for sure. Each part has it's own little hell secreted away while the world turns on. Bringing light to the problems and forcing people of power to action is the only way to progress. But that is a feat in it's own right. Powerful words Farhan.

This world had gone mad. Killing of women and children. I will never understand. I saw war zones and dead cities. No-one win in war. You ask question we must answer soon before we pass the point of no return. Thank you Farhan for sharing the powerful and worthwhile poetry.

I did enjoy. A powerful poem.
I love the phrase "agony of slaughter". No one can ever truly knows how escape the pains they go through. We instead just suppress them till and learn how to coexist. Though I think in stanza two line four you should revise it to say "When there's toxins in the water"

Thank you Harley that means a lot
This poem is filled with emotion and anger for justice. The concern you had and what you wanted to express has been done upto the mark.
'Children are hidden in their mother's arms' this line hit me hard because the childhood of innocent children is being snatched away to make them feel safe from horrendous people out there.
I am very impressed by this poem. Keep sharing more.

A well structured piece that delivers in message and somber tones that reality in which we are living, great read.

Thank you Thomas
Your poem is well-written to take advantage of some rhyming & using powerful questioning to help us get a better idea of what this situation is about. I’m sorry you are having bad times in your country. If it makes you feel a little less bad, this is a worldwide trend. All countries are growing worse & worse, when it comes to humanity & fairness & corruption. Here in the USA, we have a pretty good country, but there are some horrible things going on ever since Trump got elected in 2016 & now he’s whipped up a bunch of anger against immigrants & people of color & women & gay/lesbians. I think things are probably worse in your country, but I just wanted you to know it’s happening, even here. Good job using your ability to write well & clearly to put a spotlight on the problem (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thanks for the review...and my pleasure

I like the way you had portrayed the people and the ugly deeds they are doing
hampering, slaughtering masses all around.
We will definitely get away from these agonies my friend
You did an amazing Piece.

thank you for sharing your Heart in this Piece - Never is Forever - there is Hope - it's my Middle Name, not Really it is Paul my Favorite Apostle - but I also follow Krishna - Buddha - Native American Aboriginals All,

I like this Part

Lookin in my eyes..
Tell me it's all fine..
All the people are happy
And innocence didn't die..
Silence is vanished
And the violence we've gone through
Feelings are perished
Chaos to rendezvous

We'll never get free
From this agony of slaughter
What should we do
When there's toxic in water
The price to be paid has always been harder
Will we ever get through?
From this agony of slaughter..

Look me in my eyes
Say, that clouds are not dark
The gust of wind stopping

Not that seesaw is swinging

We'll never get free

The price of the freedom is always been higher.
Will we ever get through
From this agony of slaughter..

When it comes from your Heart and your Darkness - usually touches us even more than what we bring from our Light - I was told once - if we can go to our darkness to find a gift to share it will be the most meaningful and will help others than all those we can bring from our Light. Keep writing - we're Listening.
