Books are there for me

My life with and without books

The moment I was alone,
I had books by my side.
No matter where I go,
Along with the books I ride.

When I was frustrated,
I think about the legends,
Legends who wrote those books,
Legends who make me love my life.

When I left my house,
I filled my bag with books.
When I spent a night on street,
Instead of blanket I got books.

When other friends denied,
I got another who don't complain or demand.
When there wasn't anyone,
Books stood by my side.

When I lost myself,
Books made me realize how far I can go,When I crossed the cuts and had wounds, books filled my wounds and encouraged me to the core.

A good book is a best friend. It is rightly said. They are very good escapism too which not only shows us the path for escaping reality but gives courage to face it. Beautifully written I truly liked this a lot. ☺
