Window to happiness

Window to happiness

A Poem by Farhan Shaikh

Sitting in this lonely house,
I am depressed and feeling low,
There's no way to it's out,
But I can see through a mere window.

Everyone is happy there,
From far away they said me hello,
I feel so alone here,
please take me out through this window.

Why am i living here,
When i don't even want to.
I can see fairies out there,
dwarfs building a castle through.
no one's on their feet,
They were flying without any broom stick.
I can feel the fragrance in the wind.

There's nothing to hate nothing
to be a racist for, each human is equal to others, they all work like brothers.

There's no boss there's no servant,They are glad to help each other, there's no burden.
they don't even know what the word "betray" means.
Believing and respecting In each other is in their genes.

At first I had thought this would go with the moral "the grass is always greener at the outer side of the fence"...but this stood more beautiful and striking with it's thoughtful lines....I don't know if you've used small "i" in the second stanza as a uniqueness to present the noun or not.....but I really like the cute image...thanks for sharing!

A wonderful and needed poem.
"There's nothing to hate nothing
to be a racist for, each human is equal to others, they all work like brothers.
There's no boss there's no servant,They are glad to help each other, there's no burden."
The above lines. Great words and wisdom shared. A outstanding poem my friend.

Thank you..
Loved the last lines "There's no boss there's no servant,They are glad to help each other, there's no burden.
they don't even know what the word "betray" means.Believing In each other respect is in their genes." Wonderful lines, this is how I want the world to be.

Thank you so much
This is so beautifully written! In the first line before sitting, what is the significance of 'j' there?

Haha ok! Nice poetry :)
I love this one Farhan. It reminds me of a specific story but I forgot the title of it. Anyways, I love this. It talks about what is real and what is ideal. Lovely.

Thank you for always leaving kind words that motivates me.
Yeah I agree with your emotions, expect nothing from others when you did something for them, no betrayal you can experience here, by the way life always sucks but when you come out of this situation life shows you the path of hidden treasures belongs only to you......good one Farhan, keep going....

Thank you Surya for ur kind words
This poem shows your longing for a better place to go where is no misery and peace everywhere. I liked the concept of looking through a window it says a lot like you are trapped and long for freedom or else want to be in a better company. First four lines are my most favourite. Beautifully written I liked the theme and the concept of this poem. Well done :)
