Congratulations, and welcome to the first video in the Intro to Earth Informational Series! If you are seeing this, then you have been nominated to join the Medical Initiative Program's (M.I.P.) Special Duty ranks (S.D.). The S.D. rank associate retains priority over all other rank, including Elite (E.). In this first video we will discuss a brief history of your planet of operation, as well as what duties are included in your position. Firstly, it is required by Galactic Authority that all of video 1. must be viewed by the nominees of the Earth Initiative (E.I.) prior to completing the official decision form. NO NOMINATION FILES CAN BE CLOSED PRIOR TO SUBMISSION OF AN OFFICIAL RESPONSE FORM. An additional note has also been added to this disclaimer by the head council of the Galactic Authority which reads; " Please consider what is at stake, and do what you can, for us all".
PART 1. A BRIEF HISTORY:
Earth was first discovered by the Galactic Authority almost 4,000,000,000,000 Universal Units ago, when an unknown transmission was detected from previously unmapped space. The transmission was discovered to be from a galaxy previously unknown to the council, it was roughly translated to "Do We Persist In Solidarity?". At that time the Galactic Authority was unaware of who sent the transmission, as all surface observation failed to show any capable species. However as transmissions continued, it was quickly discovered that the primary race was subterranean, and upon direct response, the race was quickly joined to the Registry. Upon further inspection, and with instructions from the primary race, surface access was put under heavy restriction. Surface access was permissable by only E. class associates at the time, it has since been banned by all classes (Including Chairman).
PART 2. THE SASQUALIEN:
The race of Earth calls themselves The Sasqualien, and serve today as an irreplaceable source of the most remarkable medicines known to the Galactic Authority. The fungal derivatives produced cannot be replicated or reproduced in laboratory conditions, and are not found anywhere else in the known universe.
It is for this reason that Earth and the associates like you are vital to both the Galactic Authority and all of the known universe. Members of the race are typically large statured bi-peds with thick fur covering most of there body. Most feel textiles unnecessary and most reside to a natural, no waste lifestyle. They reside almost entirely underground in cavernous channels that span all of Earth. All caverns contain an impossibly diverse collection of mega fungi and pine trees exclusively. There are three secure surface access points, all heavily guarded at all times.
PART 3. THE DANGER:
EXTREME CAUTION!!!
Following these instructional tapes, all E.I. associates will be taken through an extensive training program to both understand and avoid the surface creatures of Earth.
While the medicine of Earth is invaluable, obtaining product off planet comes at a high risk. The highest threat is a race of semi-inteligent beings self-named HUMAN. The HUMAN race remain one of the most complex and adaptive threats known to the Galactic Authority. An evolutionary enigma, the HUMAN race retains a similar intelligence to that of most life forms on the Registry. However it's the biological structure of their race that stunts their evolution, they lack the range of vision, or range of audible sound for complex communication. Most importantly, their brain structure lacks the necessary organs to understand complex realities.
PART 4. THE RISK:
Keeping PART 3. In mind, HUMAN are not without their own brand of intelligence, they relentlessly try to learn, and the Galactic Authority has observed HUMAN to develop many technologies that can marginally compensate for their biological shortcomings. However, these advancements do little to lower the threat they pose. HUMAN truly understand very little, and greatly fear what they don't. They posses an unbelievably high number of dialect, and learn almost entirely through dissection and demolition. Contact and reason are futile, any detection by HUMAN will make you a target, and all posses technologies designed for your elimination.
PART 5. THE AGREEMENT:
To conclude this introductory tape, the Galactic Authority wishes to clarify that despite the severe risk of travel to Earth, all E.I. associates are forbidden to harm or influence HUMAN in any way. As a vital member of the Registry, it is the Sasqualien right to decide it's planet's treatment by all non native beings. It is the Sasqualien belief that evolution may one day free HUMAN from their comparative blindness and barbarism, and so, wish that they be left as undisturbed as possible and be allowed to develop naturally.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Galactic Authority Head Representative of Medical Programs Councilor Frengrar has issued a direct statement for all E.I. associates.
"It is Imperative that all trade and political ties with Earth remain intact, the lives of quintillions are counting on it. I recognize the risks, and respect refusal, but if you can, I implore you. Do what you can, for us all".
