Were I anything but a person

Were I anything but a person

A Poem by Rece Fantoma
"

Flesh can barely contain passion... It's a colander through which love slips.

"
Would that I were not a person...
...I would be the warm sun on your face when the curtains are flung after a night of passion. I'd be the coffee on your lips and the new days promise, a million and one preludes.
I would be a dandelion spore on the wind. I could stick to your shoulder for a time and know you and love you for everything that you are and then leave without pretense or notice.
Were I anything but a person...
...This morning, I had a love affair with the rain. We danced and we kissed. I opened my mouth to receive her, and then I splashed in her puddles scandalously.
Yours were sweeter still...
