Love As a Whole

Love As a Whole

A Poem by Syeda Ayesha

Is it fair
To sow a seed and not to taste its fruit?
Is it fair
To watch the rain and not to wet the skin?
Is it fair
To write a verse and not to read it loud?

Is it fair
To receive a kind smile and not to return that smile?
Is it fair
To cherish the chorus of dawn birds and not to pray?
Is it fair
To wake the silenced storm of sensation and not to rescue the sinking ship?

What is love without marriage of two bodies and two souls?
Is it fair to love in halves and not as a whole?

I very much like the thoughts you have expressed here. Nicely conveyed and visual with it.
