Paper's plea !A Poem by Syeda Ayeshathis poem encompasses sentiments of a paper which feels quite helpless .Forgive me O' Lord for it's not my mistake, despite of evidences I am proven fake, defied clearly by the devils in disguise in order to victimize; the masses keen to know the truth, journey of deception begins from polling booth where my legitimacy is dragged through the mud ill game of power is won by blueblood, all the concrete plans, figures and facts alliances, false agreements and pacts are hanged onto me with dragon toothed pegs, the burden of convictions instilled upon me haunts me countless days and nights, corrupted hands devour me like termites, tongue-tied, criticized, eventually denied lost my credibility, can no more be relied, For ages, I remain sealed in an envelope far more agitating than being bound with a tight rope, I crave for someone to smoothen up my neat folds challenge the words scribed in italics and BOLD ! but Alas! like always I am ignored, my face wrinkles from the guilt that is surely not mine I wish I could for once, define the agony killing my patience ; in no time. I am helpless, but you must know the strength I behold; is enough for the covers to blow oh wait no more, oh wait no more! for true warriors there's no exit door use me righteously pour out your heart leave the rest just do your part bargain of innocent lives, to build a realm where illegal activities overwhelm; crumples my left over sanity oh wait no more, oh wait no more to stand up for the sake of humanity Justification of the actions of humans by a paper .This poem is about the sentiments of a 'paper' which feels helpless © 2016 Syeda Ayesha |
