The Basic Story Behind The Clan

"

About 2300 years ago, in the distant land of Persia, just five years before Macedonia conquered Persia, a small clan lived on the Southern Border or Persia, very close to the Arabian Deserts. At that time there were six of them, three males and three females. Most of them had newly married, except Yetruzan and Toraan. Yetruzen and Toraan had been married for three years at the time they brought in the four others into their home. The next family was Alistydon and Jouran. They two had come from Persepolis, the capital of Persia, newly married and looking for land. They found Yetruzen and Toraan and bought part of their land and lived on it. The last family, Hyserus and Felista, were from the lands of Egypt. They were looking for the same thing as Alistydon and Jouran.

That is how they all met. Their fates were never really intertwined with each other, until one day when Hyserus and Felista decided to take a walk in the desert. A rumor had been going around that a “mystic” was hiding a rare jewel that would sell for a high price, and he who found the jewel would have eternal life. Hyserus was always the greedy one, and took off into the desert with no second questions.

After two days in the blazing sun, Hyserus and Felista finally found what Hyserus was looking for, The Cave of the Oracle. It was situated in a cool, fertile part of the desert and on also placed on a small hill. They started their trek up the hill. Hyserus had Felista hide behind a bush as he did not want her to “be hurt” but in all true reality, he did not want her to have the jewel.

The Jewel was not hard to find, it was right there for the taking. Hyserus exclaimed a cheer as he shot out his hands to grab it. He finally had all of the wealth he would need, as well as eternal life as granted! But then, as if out of nowhere, a man appeared in a long robe and hood appeared and cursed Hyserus.

“Hyserus of Egypt, why do you grab my precious stone? May your family rot forever! May your family become hated! May your family never become able to conceive! For you, however, May you rot right here in front of me until you are nothing but a Skeleton!”

When the mystic spoke that last word, Hyserus did as he was commanded. He fell on the ground, writhing in pain. He started to age quickly. He went through his life cycle. As he became older, his skin started to melt in the sun because it couldn’t protect itself. The rest of his body followed suit, and then there he was, nothing but a skeleton.

Felista, having witnessed the events, burst out of the bushes crying. She fell onto the ground and pleaded with the mystic to bring back her husband. Her pleads softened the mystic’s heart and he granted her one thing.

“Felista, Wife of Hyserus, while I cannot undo the curses against your family or Hyserus, I can grant one thing. You and your family are destined one day to look like what you have seen here. I will give you and your family some protection against the hatred your family will feel. Your protection will grow in power as time goes on. I grant you and your family my powers.”

With that, he disappeared. As promised, Felista found her powers and so did her family. Felista gained the Power of Healing. A magic lied within her palms to help restore wounds and sickness. Yetruzan gained the power of manipulating his body. He could make his bones, skin, and muscles grow or shrink in size. Toraan gained the Power of Plants. She could easily grow or kill anything that had plantlike characteristics. As an added ability in time of need, she could sweat seeds of different kinds. Alistydon had his saliva changed with Ethanol and his breath made warmer. Whenever Alistydon spit, he would breathe fire at his enemies. He had obtained the Power of Fire. Finally, Jouran gained the Power of the Serpent. She could transform into any snake existing, and even some special demon snakes that were either powerful or weak.

This is the Clan’s story.
