Flying

Flying

A Poem by sabrina

The sky is blue,

Birds passing by,

The wind has blown,

It's time to fly.

I grow my wings,

Graceful spreading,

Strong white structure,

Feathers shedding.

A flap of wings,

Brought way up high,

Warm welcoming,

Flying through sky.

Whistling wind,

The singing birds,

Shouts from below,

 Their yells unheard.

I am within

The air itself,

The air's spirit

Flying myself.

The rush of air,

As I'm flying

Swirling around,

My soul, freeing.

Soft, billowing imagery. Fleeting, yet restrained somehow. I love this, Sabrina! Keep up the good work.

i loved it...the verses are short but still capture you with their bright, soaring imagery...not a good poem but a great one

I absolutely love the feelings of flight you have in this poem. All the sensory details are really good, and they make you really imagine what it would be like to fly, not like Superman, but with real wings. Excellent job!
