RunningA Poem by sabrinaA poem about running away and why it happened.I wipe the tears from my face, Cooling the mounting anger With a dampened sleeve. With an aching soul and foot, I'm running, running away.
I stop and rest within the brush, To compose what I'm to do Now that I've escaped. Finally, with time to think, Restless sleep falls upon me.
In my sleep I toss and turn, As I recall what happened Just the day before. It started at 5 o'clock, 6 hours before I left.
There had been a long lecture, For they were trying to get Me to understand, About what I was to do, And what I shouldn't have done.
But I would hardly listen, Becaues I already knew that What I did wasn't right. If only they understood, It would lift my burden so.
And even when they try to, They still don't get it right, Just shaking their heads. Continuing to get mad, They will never understand.
I finally had enough, I can't stand it anymore With the confusion. Leaving all the memories, I packed my bag and was off. © 2008 sabrinaReviews
