The Forest

The Forest

A Poem by sabrina
"

Whatever you hear or see in the forest, simple as that.

"

Walking amongst the looming trees,

Small twigs and leaves snapping beneath your feet,

Light paws scurrying away from any danger.

Hearing the birds twittering through the trees,

The nearby rivers roar fills your ears,

Wind sweeping through the branches and leaves.

Seeing the swaying treetops above your head,

Shadows flying across the ground,

Seasons colors painting the forest.

This is a fantastic poem about the forest! I recently went on a camping trip to the High Sierras, and this poem is very accurate along with being beautiful! The forest really is a beautiful place, and you did a great job with summarizing it to the imagery and sensory details. Great write!
