Maturity

Maturity

A Poem by Queen of Fantasy

When I look out the window and see small children giggle and play

I remember back to the days when it was me

The happy days

When you were small and could make anything into a game

I would play with anyone to be found

No fear

No Regrets

Jumping up and down with anxiety when you got home from school

Awaiting the knock on the door to alert you the game was on...

Playing until the sun set

When I look to those days I think of how friendship was

Easy

Accepting

Now to the teen year the years of 'clicks' the death of many a kind soul

From the eyes of a child they are role models

To peers they are simply another face in the halls

A part of a group,no longer an individual

No longer free of fear

Everday walking into the school and thinking of the possibilities if the day

Failing

Being humiliated

Anything could happen and looking back to the youthful years you see the truth

If people stayed with their youthful mentality the world would prosper

The teens are the nearest future...

Looking out the window now later, the sun resting peacefuly on the horizon

The teens went around to their friends and pulled out a soccer ball

I smile out the window and realize teens aren't so different from the younger ones

Free Spirited and fun loving!

Youthfull and Free!
