The Wall of Fear

The Wall of Fear

A Poem by FangirlyGirl
"

That feeling when you finally let your fear go...

"

Oh my heart, my doughty heart

Didn't you and dreams go miles apart?

Walls through which your hopes display

Trying to break through to go your way.

You were taught to have dreams so small

And live your life behind a built up wall

You beat for the aims that others chose for you

But about your delights no one knew.

After all this time I used to say

Whithir thou goest, I'll go the other way

But now you can escape to the walls beyond

Fulfill your joys and safely abscond.

Brick by brick destroy this wall of fear

You now have a path to the wall’s near

So exit from that and reach the stars

And live your life as who you truly are.
