Setting Sun

Setting Sun

A Poem by Faith Anderson
"

An honest poem about grief over losing someone. Life continues to go on and damage lingers while God mends it, but the comfort of the person's destructive presence is missed.

"
the sunsets are still beautiful without
you

they still glow
without you

God paints
streams of water to douse the flames
that scratch the sky bloody

and i inhale

a freedom
i never knew i could have

and then i exhale

and realize

i am all
alone
